Emerging Leaders

Associated Builders and Contractors, Greater Michigan Chapter’s (ABC/GMC) Emerging Leaders Program aims to shape the future of our industry by supporting the growth of young professionals employed by ABC member companies. The program creates opportunities for young leaders to build relationships, expand their skills, and advance their careers while continuing to promote open competition and the merit shop philosophy!

Requirements:

  • Anyone 40 years old and under, or if you are new to your profession/trade wanting to grow in your career.
  • Employed at ABC member company.
  • Any role is welcome to join from project managers to office professionals!

Ambassador Responsibilities & Benefits

In order to be considered as an ambassador, candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • Be employed by an ABC/GMC member company.
  • Must have been employed by the member company for at least a year.
  • The applicant must have attended at least one ABC/GMC event over the past year.

The following requirements are necessary to maintain Ambassador status:

  • Attend 100% of all Ambassador meetings each year (meetings are held quarterly).
  • Attend 50% (combination) of all ABC/GMC or GMCA events and serve as a greeter for attendees.
  • Be employed by an ABC/GMC member.
  • Participate in membership development through referring prospects for membership and making retention calls/visits aimed at gaining feedback and ensuring membership satisfaction.
  • Participate in member visits/calls to solicit attendance at ABC/GMC events.
